My Day So Far
Today at 10.30am began with Leaders Questions in the Dail.
At 11am I headed to Public Accounts committee. Todays committee were questioning the Department of Transport on certain issues such as the Integrated Ticketing system, which by the way I am fully supportive of. We must get our public transport ticketing system more integrated to make the services more user friendly and convenient.
I was delighted to hear that 215 new homes will be built in Rathcoole, Lucan and Clondalkin as a result of a land swap at Harcourt Terrace, Dublin 2. I really hope that young people and families in the area looking to buy their first home hear about this and apply as soon as possible.
Affordable housing is a great way for young people to get started on the property ladder. It is also a way for single people to get their own place. Its great that Dublin Mid West has done so well.
Tonight there are 15 people booked into my Clondalkin Clinic, looking forward to meeting them and hopefully I can be of some assistance.
